Growing up, I had a solid
understanding of who my ancestors were on one side of my family, where they came from, their occupations, and
what they believed. I took pride in
most of their history, and it gave me a sense of identity and purpose. The other side of my family only knew a generation
or two back, and had lost the knowledge of where exactly their ancestors came
from.
I’ve spent the last decade studying and uncovering lost family facts, which led to me feeling like I knew myself even better. After piecing together my own family history puzzles and meeting people who wished they knew more about their own history, my mission turned to helping others figure it out.

My ancestors’ journeys ultimately led them to a place where both sides saw Mt. Pilchuck on a daily basis. It became a symbol of home for them. I chose it to represent my efforts to help others find meaning and understanding in their past.
